My bachelor thesis is entitled „Glücklicher mit leichtem Gepäck – Konzeption und Entwicklung einer interaktiven Infografik zum Thema Glück und Konsum“ (“Happier with light luggage – conception and development of an interactive infographic on the topic of happiness and consumption”). 📦✨
Far too often, we make purchasing decisions that we think will make us happy in the long term. 🍀🛍️

However, it is a fallacy that this is possible. ❗️ From a psychological point of view, it is pre-programmed
that the joy will quickly diminish again - the phenomenon behind it: Hedonistic adaptation. And so it only leads
to us buying more and more. 🧠🛒👎

If more people were aware of this phenomenon, perhaps they would indulge less in consumerism in
their search for the happiness that remains.

➡️ more satisfaction 🙂 + less environmental impact 🌱
The product: A digital interactive infographic* that explains the concept of happiness
& teaches you how to live happier and more sustainably by consuming less. ✨

* An infographic is a graphical representation of information that presents complex
data, statistics or concepts in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand way. 📊
The interactive elements make the user part of the infographic. Self-efficacy attracts attention & excitement. The content can be experienced and is therefore remembered for longer.
⚠️ Unfortunately, the whole thing is only a prototype & not a website that you can access. Below you can see a video that shows an example of how you can interact with the infographic.
I used analog media to promote my infographic: stickers and postcards. 💌
Both are inexpensive, can be produced in large quantities and are ideal for displaying in public places. 🏙️
In contrast to a temporary Instagram post, these physical media formats can be experienced haptically – they attract more attention and stand out more from the daily sensory overload.
Once taken away, they will remain present in everyday life and can thereby become a recurring reminder of the topic. 🔄✨
At the end of each semester, the Bachelor and Master projects from the MÜNSTER SCHOOL OF DESIGN are presented to visitors as part of a three-day exhibition. 🪩
Similar to a yearbook, at the end of each semester there is a suitable website for the respective graduates, on which each of them is presented once again with his/her projects.

Still can't get enough? ✨
